From the hilltops, through the swamp to the sea, this area would have been home to a rich tapestry of biodiversity. A place brimming with life!

 

Through planting, weed management & predator control, we are starting to work towards bringing this back.

Waitao

Twenty years of reforestation has increased native habitat and improved
water quality - great for our native plants, wildlife and summer swims!

Now predator control is set to boost wildlife numbers too and
students are keen to get involved!
